If Aliya Mustafina cries one more time, I’m booking a ticket to Russia and punching her in the goddamn throat.
how about you realize that she just won OLYMPIC FUCKING GOLD in one of THE DEEPEST EVENT FINALS this year. how about you realize that this girl CAME BACK FROM COMPLETELY SHREDDING BOTH HER ACL AND MCL A YEAR AGO and still managed to beat the DEFENDING OLYMPIC AND TWO WORLD CHAMPIONS IN THIS EVENT FINAL. how about you shut the fuck up and ALLOW AN AMAZING ATHLETE TO CELEBRATE THEIR FUCKING ACHIEVEMENTS.
if I hear ANYONE bitching about aliya one more time, I’m booking a ticket to wherever they are and punching them in the goddamn throat.
and ps, you have no fucking right to tag her and then tag words like ‘bitch’, ‘twat’, and other offensive slurs that not only degrade an amazing athlete but degrade women in general. shut the fuck up and get out of my fucking tracked tags.
I don’t disagree that she is an incredible athlete, and was also unaware about her previous injuries. I think it’s amazing that she has recovered from such severe injuries and made it to the olympic team; definitely not denying any of that. The only reason I stated that I was annoyed with her is because she has terrible composure that reflects poorly on herself and her team. Seeing her cry about every little thing easily got on my nerves, and many of my friends agree. I also read a comment that NBC’s selective coverage of her may have to do with this extreme viewpoint as well, which is the source that I have been viewing the olympics from. However, her own coach described her as being the definition of a diva, and seeing her shove away one of her coaches who was trying to talk to or console her was incredibly immature and I simply felt embarrassed for her. I would not want to be seen acting that way on global television. That’s all. Personal opinion, standing by it. And I respect you standing by yours.
